I has another The Last Jedi themed birthday, and I finally got a Star Wars fathier toy! I got some more TLJ items as well, and likely these will be the last Star Wars Episode IX merch stuff I will write about now that The Rise of Skywalker will be here in two months. We get the final trailer tomorrow!
My fathier plush toy.
Joining my magnificent Kylo Ren plush pillow buddy, and my now vintage Princess Kneesa ewok plush, is my fathier. I’ve been wanting one of these horse-like, hyena-like steeds for some time now, and I’m thankful a few were left to order.

Fathiers are among my favorite animals from the Star Wars universe. I know many folks didn’t care for the Canto Bight scene in the Last Jedi, but I don’t care. I loved the scene and the fathiers made it for me. According to some of the extended universe media, fathiers are matriarchial, and the one that Rose and Finn ride in the film is the matriarch, so I’d like to think this toy fathier is the one that they both rode.
She is well made. Her stitching is fine with no mistakes. She is capable of standing on her stiff four legs if you spread them just slightly wide enough. She has a vinyl saddle. I’m hoping the material does not crack over time, but I keep her out of the sun as I do my Kylo Ren pillow buddy that has belt and boots of the same material.
Hallmark Porg Christmas ornament
I was also gifted an adorable resin porg ornament. I love, love, love porgs. You all know that I am a major bird nerd, and so a Star Wars bird with a grumpy face was bound to be a hit with me.

This is a male porg, as identified by his orange feathers around the eyes. Female porgs are a little duller. He is a sturdy, tough little ornament, and will blend into my Christmas tree nicely.
I also got a nice long sleeved orange Star Wars rebel shirt. It’s fantastic.

So, yeah, I had a pretty nice birthday, and I’m glad I could blog and post about this before tomorrow when all the Rise of Skywalker hype is up to the max. You can be assured I will write my thoughts on the trailer tomorrow.
